Hi, welcome to my messy bible.com
I started this website as a way to organize materials for Bible journaling workshop participants and friends who want to start on this journey. I'm not going to try to rival the giants in the field, and there are many, but I would like to point you in their direction.
My name is Dianne Smith-Harper, and I'm a retired journalism teacher. I only recently discovered Bible journaling through a post on Facebook. I looked into it, and I was hooked. I've always tried to have a special time of day set aside for Bible study, but unfortunately, life kept getting in the way, and I did nothing to change it. I had big ideas of getting up early and reading my Bible before going to school, and sometimes I'd do it, but many times, I decided to sleep for an extra 10 or 20 minutes. Once I retired, I got a little better, but I hadn't found the method to keep me engaged. And my new life on a small farm with goats and llamas and chickens kept me pretty busy.
Bible journaling changed all that. Today it is the focus of my day. When I'm not actually journaling, I am searching for examples on the web, delving into tutorials on how to do something journaling-related. It has made such a difference in my outlook on life. No matter how you decide to journal, please try to start a daily journaling time. It is YOUR time with God, and you will be blessed.
Together my husband and I have six kids, 21 grandkids and two great grandkids. (And 10 goats, 2 llamas, 4 dogs, 12 chickens and a potbellied pig.)
Bible journaling keeps me sane!
