There are so many alternatives to drawing: you can use stickers (pictures or words), stencils, die-cut images, clipart, stamps, pictures from magazines. Or you can write. One of my closest friends journals every day in a pretty little notebook she picked up, and she loves to write. I doubt seriously God cares much about the method you choose; He just wants to spend some quality time with you.
Today I found out about a tool I had never seen before (but I often come late to the party. This is a gizmo from Crayola called a Light-Up Tracing Pad. I found this one and another in a different color online at Walmart.com for less than $20, but I hear through the internet grapevine that it is also available at Amazon.com, some Michaels and other craft stores. Michaels did not have it online, however. The one pictured below comes with some traceable girl figures with different outfits, but as I understand it, you can trace just about anything: pictures, clipart, etc.
So it's another option for those who secretly want to jump in but something's holding them back.
Even though I can "sort of" draw, I am excited about this toy. I'll have it next week some time.
