Facebook Groups devoted to bible journaling
Since I am new to Bible journaling myself, I was amazed at the sheer number of groups devoted to Bible journaling in its various forms on Facebook. This is the list I have as of today, but new groups pop up all the time. Most groups are private, so you have to ask for permission to join (which is no problem...someone will be happy to let you in. They are private so that the members feel comfortable about sharing their work online. You will be encouraged to share yours also, and that's part of the fun. Administrators of most groups are adament about keeping the group as a safe environment for sharing and discovering new ways to journal. Doctrine is not something up for discussion in the groups; it's all about the personal relationship each journaler has with God.
Some groups offer weekly or monthly challenges while others are more into techniques. Each offers a warm, supportive community that will help you get more out of your journaling.
Bible Journaling 101. This one is a page, not a group, but it has some great tips.
Bible Journaling Daily. Another page, rather than a group.
Journaling Bible Community (Illustrated Faith). This was one of the first Bible journaling groups. It is administered by Shannon Noel.
Bible Journaling Digitally. A group, administered by Robin Sampson, devoted to digital journaling.
Digital and Hybrid Bible Journaling. Another Robin Sampson group.
Seasons and Advent Illustrated. This was the one that got me started. Sarah Bouter is the administrator, and she creates wonderful seasonal study materials focusing on the season (Advent, for instance) or a specific study (2016's first study is about the book of Esther.)
Take Me Deeper & Logos 365. These are two projects from the His Kingdom Come Website. Take Me Deeper is a year long course in which participants look deeper into the meaning of scripture, using illustrations, traditional or digital, to help them understand. Logos365 is the focus word project, in which you pick a word to focus on for the year, and journal about it in different ways.
Bible Journal and Planner Love. Robin Sampson's group for those who love to journal in their planners. Robin is also a digital scrapbooking and planner designer who has a shop on Etsy, but many of her designs she offers for free. Announcements are made in her groups about freebies available.
Hide His Word in My HeART. An artful journey through the Word.
